Medical tourism is becoming more and more popular. The following article explains why it is worth to do a nose job in Turkey.
What is nose job?
Nose correction (rhinoplasty, rhinoplasty) is an operation that allows you to change the shape and / or improve the functionality of the nose. It is one of the most frequently performed plastic surgery in the world, for both men and women, and the second most frequently performed facial intervention after blepharoplasty.
The course of the surgery and convalescence
Nasal surgery is most often performed under general anesthesia, especially when it comes to its complete correction – then a one-day stay in the hospital is also necessary. The nose can be operated with the so-called closed method – cutting in the nasal passages, invisible outside and open. With the open method, apart from the incisions in the nasal passages, a cut is made on the nose post. During the procedure, the skin is detached from the cartilage and bone structure, then the nose is shaped to the desired shape. Finally, the skin is put back on the newly shaped cartilage and bone frame.
For the first few days after the treatment, swelling and bruising may appear in the area of the face. The patient may experience discomfort related to pain in the nose and head. After removing the plaster, the bruising should disappear on day 8-10. The nose may still be swollen at this time. The period of complete regeneration lasts up to 12 months – only then can the final effect be assessed. The thicker the skin a patient has, the longer the recovery period will be. A control visit is scheduled for six months after the surgery to assess the healing processes.
Why is it worth doing a nose job in Turkey?
The factors that attract patients to Turkey include, first of all, the extremely competitive prices of the procedures, but also the high level of Turkish medical facilities and the qualifications of the staff, communicating in English, German and Russian. It is also important that Turkish hospitals and clinics are equipped with modern medical equipment that shortens the time of procedures. In addition, medical tourists are attracted by the location of Turkey, which makes it easy to fly to Turkish hospitals from virtually every corner of the world.
